Job Opportunity: Workshop Controller

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Workshop Controller in the Southampton area within a Commercial Automotive Garage.

Role Overview: As a key member of our team, you will manage an efficient and professional operation to ensure complete customer satisfaction through optimal utilisation of workshop facilities. This is a busy, hands-on, and challenging role that requires enthusiasm, a dynamic personality, and a passion for automotive industry excellence.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Strong management and leadership skills
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise deadlines
  • Experience working to KPIs, budgets, and targets
  • Proven track record of managing a team
  • Experience in the automotive industry is essential

Additional qualities include being proactive, pride in your work, a willingness to learn, and engagement with training. We are interested in candidates aspiring to develop their career within our industry.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Previous experience as a Workshop Controller, Foreman, Manager, or Service Manager
  • Confidence and a strong understanding of workshop processes and team management
  • Full driving licence; any endorsements must be notified
  • IT literacy; Kerridge knowledge is advantageous
  • Strong numerical and administrative skills with attention to detail for KPI accuracy

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, with a ½ hour unpaid lunch break.

Every third Saturday, 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.
