Job summary

Evans Halshaw in Doncaster is seeking a Workshop Controller to lead the workshop flow and collaborate with the Service Reception and Parts teams to keep vehicles moving.

You will mentor apprentices, resolve technical issues, uphold safety standards, and ensure customers are put first while contributing to a high standard of service.

Qualifications

• Proven experience within a service department in the motor industry.
• Strong understanding of systems and processes within this environment.
• Solid knowledge of Health and Safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining progress information against job allocation; ensure paperwork is completed to standard and passed to relevant teams.
• Assist and advise team members in dealing with technical and job-related problems.
• Coach the workshop apprentices as required.
• Ensure the customer comes first.

What does the role of Workshop Controller involve?

• Assist in maintaining progress information against job allocation ensure all appropriate paperwork is completed to standard and passed on to the relevant teams
• Assist and advise team members in dealing with technical and job-related problems
• Coach the workshop apprentices as and when required
• Ensure the customer comes first

What do you need to succeed as a Workshop Controller?

• Proven experience within a service department in the motor industry
• An excellent understanding of systems and processes operated to within this environment
• A strong knowledge of Health and Safety
• Confident with dealing with people at all levels, be able to build an immediate rapport
• Excellent planning and organisational skills
• Comfortable in negotiating and influencing situations
• Lead by example to deliver an outstanding customer experience every time
