Job summary

THX Ltd in Bedford, soon relocating to MK43 0YL, seeks a hands-on yard operative to clean ladders, podiums and equipment each morning, and inspect items later in the day.

You will also help unload returning vans, tidy the yard, and provide support to warehouse teams. Training is available, with potential forklift instruction as part of development.

Responsibilities

• Clean ladders, podiums, scissor lifts and other equipment using a pressure washer.
• Clean hire equipment by hand as needed.
• Rebrand new equipment with THX stickers.
• Photograph and record very dirty items.
• Keep yard, workshop, warehouse and vehicle parking areas tidy.
• Support warehouse, workshop and driving teams as required.
• Inspect ladders and podiums.

Job description

We are looking for someone to clean ladders, podiums and other returning hire equipment in the morning. Later in the day, you will inspect ladders and podiums, help unload the returning vans and carry out general yard duties. We have a friendly environment where the rapid growth of our business means we support the development of our talented people.

You will be responsible for:

• Cleaning ladders, podiums, scissor lifts and other equipment using a pressure washer
• Cleaning a variety of hire equipment by hand
• Rebranding new equipment with THX stickers
• Photographing and recording very dirty items
• Regularly checking, cleaning and tidying our yard, workshop, warehouse and vehicle parking areas
• Providing support to our warehouse, workshop and driving teams as required
• Inspecting ladders and podiums

Monday to Friday working hours, overtime may sometimes be required to meet customer demand.

Currently based in Bedford (MK41 0QB), but relocating in the new year to MK43 0YL.

It is essential that you bring:
