Job summary

Dudley Council is seeking a Workshop Assistant within the Transport Section at Dudley Council’s Lister Road depot in Dudley. You will support the fleet maintenance operation, perform minor defect repairs, assist with vehicle breakdowns, and help keep the workshop clean and organized.

This onsite, full-time role requires an NVQ Level Two in Automotive Maintenance or equivalent (or be prepared to obtain it) and an LGV Category C driving licence.

Qualifications

• LGV Category C driving licence.

We are seeking to recruit a Workshop Assistant based within the Transport Section at Dudley Council’s Lister Road depot in Dudley .

Reporting to the Fleet Supervisor, you will assist in general duties associated with the Transport Maintenance operation, including performing minor defect repairs, general cleaning duties within the workshop, collection and delivery of vehicles, collection of spare parts and assistance with vehicle breakdowns.

You must hold an NVQ Level Two in Automotive Maintenance or equivalent, (or be prepared to obtain this qualification) and an LGV Category C driving licence

Workplace Attendance: Onsite full time
