Just Recruitment is seeking a reliable Workshop Assistant near Colchester to join a well-established creative business. The role is hands-on and varied, supporting day-to-day workshop operations alongside the manager in a craft-based environment.

You will handle goods, assist with framing and maintenance, and help run the workshop, with duties extending to covering the manager during holidays under guidance. Working hours Monday to Friday, 8.30 am–5.30 pm.

Qualificações

• Full, clean driving license is essential.
• Practical DIY skills and an aptitude for craft-based work.
• Interest in art, design or creative projects would be advantageous.
• A responsible, conscientious and proactive approach to work.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to handle goods carefully.
• Physically capable of carrying out manual handling tasks.
• Reliable, adaptable and comfortable working closely with the manager.
• Able to use initiative and take on additional responsibility when required.

Responsabilidades

• Cleaning and preparing items for reuse.
• Painting and maintaining blackboards.
• Framing mirrors, with training provided.
• Loading and unloading vehicles, handling items such as pictures, plants and memorabilia.
• Assisting with general workshop duties and other tasks as required.
• Providing support with the running of the business and stepping up to cover the manager during holidays, with appropriate guidance.
