TipTopJob in North Yorkshire is seeking an experienced Workshop and Fleet Supervisor to lead a team of technicians within the lifting and heavy equipment sector. The role covers day-to-day workshop management, planning, and safety compliance.

The successful candidate will oversee maintenance, inspections and repairs, coordinate workloads, and drive efficiency while ensuring manufacturer requirements are met in a market-leading organisation with an international footprint.

Qualifications

  • Good technical understanding to support Technicians.
  • Strong understanding of equipment maintenance, inspections and repairs.
  • Experience working within a workshop, fleet, plant, crane, lifting or heavy equipment environment.
  • Previous supervisory experience would be advantageous, or experience as a heavy plant/crane technician stepping into an office-based role.

Responsibilities

  • Managing, coaching and supporting a team of Technicians.
  • Planning and prioritising technician workloads and maintenance activities.
  • Preparing maintenance schedules to ensure the effective deployment of equipment and personnel.
  • Coordinating maintenance, inspections and repair activities across the fleet.
  • Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with SHEQ standards, company procedures, legislation and manufacturer instructions.
  • Ensuring the required spare parts are purchased and available when needed.
  • Driving continuous improvement across workshop operations and your team’s performance.

Job description

Job Title: Workshop and Fleet Supervisor

Location: North Yorkshire

Salary: GBP 60,000 + Company Benefits Package

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Workshop Supervisor / Fleet Supervisor to join a leading business within the lifting and heavy equipment industry.

This is a key position within the workshop and fleet function, responsible for the day:to:day management of the workshop, alongside overseeing a team of technicians. You will be responsible for coordinating maintenance, inspections and repairs, whilst ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and in line with manufacturer requirements.
