Water Recycling Process Operator (including Sludge Treatment)

Salary – Starting at £30,534 and increasing depending on skills as you progress with us + standby allowance + potential increased overtime rate for Saturday and Sunday overtime + company van for business use

Location – Wisbech & surrounding area

Full Time / Permanent

Hours – Our processes operate 24/7, but this role typically works Monday – Friday, 08:00 - 16:00, with flexibility on start and end times. Standby and occasional weekend work are required, with additional pay rates.

Water Recycling is central to our operations. We treat water used by customers, returning it to the environment via rivers and coastal outlets. Our network includes 76,000 km of sewers and over 1,000 water recycling centres.

Your Role

The Process Operator ensures our Water Recycling treatment processes (including Sludge treatment) are serviced and maintained within regulatory standards by:

• Operating and maintaining assets like tanks, pumps, screens, blowers, valves, motors, flowmeters, compressors, etc.
• Performing preventative and reactive maintenance, including lubrication
• Carrying out process sampling and escalating issues
• Adhering to safety policies and maintaining good housekeeping
• Minimizing energy use without compromising compliance
• Working in confined spaces and at heights, with weight restrictions and health checks

About You – Background and Experience

• Experience in wastewater treatment or environmental industry is advantageous but not essential
• Good understanding of Health & Safety
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence
