Job Description:

Water Recycling Process Operator (Works Technician Process Controller)

Salary: Starting at £29,219, increasing based on skills and experience, plus standby allowance, potential increased overtime rates for weekends, and a company van for business use.

Location: Wellingborough, Northamptonshire

Type: Full Time / Permanent

Hours: Generally Monday – Friday, 08.00 - 16.00, with flexibility. Includes standby and occasional weekend work with additional pay.

About the Water Recycling Operations:

We manage the collection and treatment of used water, returning it to the environment via rivers and coastal outlets. Our network includes 76,000 km of sewers and over 1,000 water recycling centres.

Candidate Profile:

We seek hardworking, proactive, and motivated individuals eager to learn new processes. Experience is advantageous but not essential.

Your Role:

• Operate and maintain assets such as tanks, pumps, valves, motors, flowmeters, etc.
• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance
• Conduct process sampling and escalate issues
• Follow safety policies and maintain good housekeeping
• Minimize energy use without compromising compliance
• Work in confined spaces and at heights, with occupational health checks required

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience in a process environment is a plus but not mandatory
• Good understanding of Health & Safety
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence
• IT competency
• Problem-solving skills and initiative
