Job summary

Anglian Water Group in Bedford is seeking a Process Operator to ensure Water Recycling treatment processes are serviced and maintained in line with regulatory compliance. You will operate and maintain assets such as tanks, pumps, screens, blowers, valves, motors, meters and more.

Starting salary £31,756 with progression, standby allowance, potential overtime, plus a company van for business use and a competitive benefits package including pension, private healthcare, Virtual GP and life cover.

Qualifications

• Experience in a process environment would be an advantage, though not essential.
• Must be able to work in confined spaces and at height, with health checks required.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain water recycling treatment assets (tanks, pumps, screens, blowers, valves, motors, flow meters, compressors, etc.).
• Perform preventative and reactive servicing and lubrication.
• Carry out process sampling and escalate issues.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and safe housekeeping and energy efficiency.

Job description

The Process Operator has a responsibility to ensure that our Water Recycling treatment processes and systems are serviced and maintained within the relevant regulatory compliance - you'll do this by:

• Operating and maintaining our assets including tanks, pumps, screens, blowers, valves, motors, flow meters, compressors and much more.
• Performing preventative and reactive servicing and maintenance such as lubrication on the systems above.
• Carrying out process sampling to ensure things are operating as they should be and escalating any issues.
• Complying with company safety policy & procedures as well as maintaining good housekeeping
• Exploring and ensuring that we maintain the lowest possible energy demands without compromising compliance
• In this role you must be able to work within a confined space, and at height without restrictions. Due to harness weight limits, your maximum weight cannot be in excess of 113 kilograms and you will be expected to complete relevant occupational health checks

• Salary - Starting at £31,756 and increasing dependent on skills as you progress with us + standby allowance + potential increased overtime rate for Saturday + Sunday overtime) + the benefit of a company van for business use, A salary of up to £42,873 depending on skills as you progress with us.
