Job summary

ARC (Norwich) Ltd is seeking a Working Supervisor for a permanent role covering Cambridge and surrounding areas. The successful candidate will oversee damp and mould contracts, supervise on-site teams, and carry out hands-on remedial works to ensure safety, quality and timely delivery.

You will coordinate contractors, perform property inspections, and liaise with tenants and clients. A strong health & safety focus, SMSTS certification, and a full UK driving licence are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as Working Supervisor, Supervisor or senior Multi-Trade Operative.
• Experience in social housing, property maintenance or responsive repairs.
• Damp and mould remedial works experience is highly desirable.
• Strong health and safety knowledge and on-site leadership.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate operatives carrying out damp and mould works.
• Carry out hands-on remedial works when required.
• Lead by example and support operatives on-site.
• Manage contractors and in-house teams to ensure high-quality work.
• Carry out property inspections and quality checks.
• Identify damp and mould issues and implement remedial solutions.
• Monitor workloads, schedules and health & safety compliance.
• Liaise with tenants, clients and contractors to resolve issues.
• Ensure works are completed within timescales and contract standards.
• Complete job sheets, reports and relevant documentation.
• Support the Contract Manager with day-to-day delivery of the damp and mould programme.

Job Type: Permanent full time position - Monday to Friday

Location: Cambridge and surrounding areas

Rate of pay: £38,000-£40,000 per annum plus a company van

We are currently recruiting for a

Working Supervisor to join a reputable social housing contractor, overseeing a

Damp & Mould contract.

This is a hands‑on position, where you will be expected to carry out remedial works alongside supervising operatives, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate operatives carrying out damp and mould works
• Carry out hands‑on remedial works when required
• Lead by example and support operatives on‑site
• Manage contractors and in‑house teams to ensure works are completed to a high standard
• Carry out property inspections, quality checks and monitor remedial works
• Identify damp and mould issues and ensure appropriate remedial solutions are completed
• Monitor workloads, schedules and health & safety compliance
• Liaise with tenants, clients and contractors to resolve issues and provide updates
• Ensure works are completed within agreed timescales and contract standards
• Complete job sheets, reports and other relevant documentation
• Support the Contract Manager with day‑to‑day delivery of the damp and mould programme

Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience as a
• Working Supervisor, Supervisor or experienced Multi‑Trade Operative
• Previous experience within
• social housing, property maintenance or responsive repairs
• Experience working on
• damp and mould remedial works is highly desirable
• Strong practical knowledge of building maintenance and property repairs
• Ability to carry out hands‑on works alongside supervising a team
• Experience carrying out property inspections and quality checks
• SMSTS certification
• Strong understanding of health & safety requirements
• Excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills
• Full UK driving licence
