Job summary

Mane Energy on Wirral/Liverpool area is seeking an experienced Mechanical Installation Manager to lead on-site mechanical installation activities, including pipework and related systems. You will supervise installation teams and subcontractors, coordinate daily site activities and ensure work aligns with drawings, specs and schedules.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Installation Manager or similar.
• Strong background in mechanical pipework installation within industrial/process environments.
• Experience managing installation teams and subcontractors.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Solid understanding of installation methods, sequencing and site coordination.
• SMSTS or SSSTS qualification.
• CSCS Card.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Good understanding of construction and mechanical health & safety requirements.
• Ability to work to project programmes and deadlines.
• Experience in industrial/project environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate testing, inspection, commissioning and handover of installations.
• Ensure compliance with RAMS and health and safety legislation.
• Maintain accurate site records and progress reports.
• Provide leadership and guidance to installation teams.

Job description

Due to ongoing works, we are recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Installation Manager for an exciting project based in the Wirral/Liverpool area.

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Installation Manager with a strong background in mechanical pipework installation, industrial and process engineering projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating mechanical installation activities on site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee mechanical installation activities, including pipework and associated mechanical systems.
• Supervise mechanical installation teams, subcontractors and site personnel.
• Coordinate daily site activities and ensure works are completed in accordance with project drawings, specifications and programmes.
• Plan and coordinate labour, materials, plant and equipment required for mechanical installation works.
• Monitor progress against project schedules and report any issues or delays to the Project Manager.
• Liaise with clients, engineers, subcontractors and other site management personnel.
• Ensure all mechanical installations are completed to the required quality standards and project specifications.
• Review and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications and installation requirements.
• Coordinate testing, inspection, commissioning and handover of mechanical installations.
• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with company procedures, RAMS and relevant health and safety legislation.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with quality, safety and environmental requirements.
• Assist with resolving technical and installation issues on site.
• Maintain accurate site records, progress reports and relevant project documentation.
• Provide leadership and guidance to mechanical installation teams.

We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Installation Manager, Mechanical Site Manager, Mechanical Supervisor or similar.
• Strong background in mechanical pipework installation, preferably within industrial, process, manufacturing, energy or engineering environments.
• Experience managing mechanical installation teams and subcontractors.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Strong understanding of mechanical installation methods, sequencing and site coordination.
• SMSTS or SSSTS qualification.
• CSCS Card.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Good understanding of construction and mechanical installation health & safety requirements.
• Ability to work to project programmes and meet deadlines.
• Experience working within industrial/process engineering environments would be highly advantageous.
