Job summary

First Rail is seeking an experienced leader to manage the Workday platform across our IT estate. You will drive the platform roadmap, ensure security and governance, and own integrations with enterprise systems in a hybrid working environment.

The role requires deep Workday expertise, strong stakeholder engagement, and a track record of delivering scalable, secure solutions within large organisations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience leading Workday or enterprise systems.
• Strong understanding of Workday architecture and integrations.
• Knowledge of IT security principles and data privacy.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the Workday platform roadmap aligned with IT and business strategy.
• Ensure governance, security, and data privacy compliance.
• Own platform architecture, integrations, tenant strategy and release planning.
• Oversee API management and middleware integrations with ERP and identity systems.
• Manage vendor relationships and AMS support for escalations and optimisations.
• Implement robust monitoring, incident management, and disaster recovery plans.
• Collaborate with HR and IT teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
