Job summary

Big Red Recruitment Midlands Limited is seeking an experienced Payroll Systems Analyst to be the SME for Workday Payroll. You will maintain, optimise and implement payroll processes supporting the business and ensuring accuracy and compliance.

In this role you will configure Workday Payroll, manage incidents, run testing including UAT, and produce payroll reports while ensuring GDPR data governance and a smooth employee experience. Coventry-based, hybrid working with 2-3 days in the office.

Qualifications

• Experience configuring or supporting Workday Payroll.
• Strong knowledge of Payroll, Time & Absence, Compensation and Benefits in Workday.
• Experience with Workday releases, testing and defect resolution.
• Understanding of GDPR and payroll data governance.
• Ability to gather requirements and translate them into Workday solutions.
• Experience in an Agile or structured project environment.

Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain and enhance Workday Payroll functionality to meet business requirements.
• Support payroll processes across Time & Absence, Compensation and Benefits.
• Analyse business requirements and translate into scalable Workday solutions.
• Manage payroll incidents, defects and enhancements with priority based on impact.
• Lead testing activities including regression testing and UAT.
• Support Workday release cycle with testing coordination and improvements.
• Produce and maintain Workday payroll reports, reconciliations and MI.
• Ensure payroll data integrity, governance and GDPR compliance.
• Create and maintain system documentation, test scripts and guides.
