Job summary

Invitise Ltd is seeking a Workday Lead for a public sector client in Reading, hybrid role, 12-month contract, up to £829 per day Inside IR35.

You will own the HR digital roadmap, lead Workday optimisation and HR technology initiatives, shape the roadmap, challenge solutions with suppliers, and drive delivery to business adoption through credible, senior stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Deep Workday HCM expertise with Core HCM and modules like Recruiting, Talent, Performance, Learning, Compensation, Absence and Reporting.
• Experience creating multi-year Workday/HR technology roadmaps, especially post-implementation optimisation.
• Ability to challenge Workday design and manage senior stakeholders.

Job description

We're looking for a Workday Lead for a public sector organisation based in Reading (hybrid) on an initial 12 months contract, paying up to £829 per day (Inside IR35).

This is a hybrid role with an expectation to attend the office in Reading up to 3 days a week.

The successful Workday Lead will own the HR digital roadmap and lead a portfolio of Workday optimisation, new capability and wider HR technology initiatives. You'll shape the roadmap, challenge solution design and suppliers, and drive delivery through to business adoption. This is a functional leadership role, not generic programme management, so you'll need the credibility to sit across the table from an implementation partner and challenge decisions intelligently.

You will need proven experience working with the following:

• Deep Workday HCM expertise, including strong Core HCM and broad exposure across modules such as Recruiting, Talent, Performance, Learning, Compensation, Absence and Reporting
• Creating and delivering multi-year Workday / HR technology roadmaps, ideally in a post-implementation optimisation environment
• Functional credibility to challenge Workday solution design rather than relying on an a partner
• Programme leadership including prioritisation, dependencies, RAID, governance, resourcing and senior reporting
• Managing and challenging systems integrators, providers and specialist suppliers
• Translating between HR, technology and senior business stakeholders
• You'll also need practical exposure to end-to-end HR processes and how technology supports HR operating models, shared services and self-service.
• Experience leading Workday optimisation or Phase X programmes, rather than only initial implementations, would be beneficial.

You'll need to hold or be eligible to obtain SC clearance.
