Job description

The Planet Group has recently been engaged by an established Workday partner to secure two Certified Engagement Managers for a contract engagement (initially 3 months). The roles can be based in the UK or Europe with remote working options.

Role Overview:

As a Workday Engagement Manager, you will manage the successful implementation of Workday solutions by working closely with customer business teams and internal delivery teams. Your responsibilities include driving the scope, definition, and delivery of solutions that are fit for purpose and commercially viable. You will take accountability for the entire delivery lifecycle alongside sales and capability Solution Architects. Your role involves managing all aspects of your projects, which may include one large, complex project or multiple smaller projects, covering project planning, resourcing, milestone tracking, commercial management, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the implementation of global Workday programs from pre-sales through implementation to handover to Application Management Services (AMS).
• Serve as the primary client interface between functional and technical teams and the client.
• Provide domain expertise (HCM, Finance, Payroll, or relevant Workday capabilities) to offer functional insights and thought leadership.
• Oversee all aspects of project and post-deployment service delivery, including planning, resourcing, milestone tracking, and commercial management.
• Lead and support blended teams of colleagues, clients, and partner resources to foster knowledge sharing and an integrated delivery approach.
• Define objectives, outputs, milestones, and timelines with the client, including contract and commercial terms.
• Identify requirements, business processes, application configurations, testing plans, and document artefacts to ensure shared understanding and facilitate knowledge transfer.
• Create well-structured and accurate deliverables and present to client steering groups to secure approval and agreement.
