Job summary

IPSUM is seeking a proactive Work Planner in Haydock to support the Planning team. You will analyse work, collate data, and develop planned packages for Site Teams, ensuring efficient delivery of projects. The role requires good IT skills and familiarity with Symology and Streetworks software.

Full-time, Monday to Friday, with opportunities for professional development and industry qualifications. A UK driving licence is required to operate across sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in a work planning role, ideally within the utilities industry.
• Good understanding of NRSWA, permitting, traffic management, and street works planning.
• IT proficient, confident using Microsoft Office, Symology, and Streetworks software.
• Hold a valid UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Pro-actively collate, visualise, and request orders for work ahead of start dates.
• Produce efficient work packages using plans, prior work, and site knowledge.
• Liaise with Planning/Project Manager/Operations Supervisor to resolve planning issues.
• Prepare, submit, and update Streetworks notices in compliance with legislation.
• Open and close Streetwork Notices/Permits.
• Understand and use the Symology system.
• Drive continual improvements in Streetworks performance.
• Coordinate with local authorities, client reps, and 3rd parties.
• Act as escalation point for site teams to resolve planning issues.
• Deliver weekly status reports to management and client.
• Be SME for internal systems like Sewer Viewer & AIMS.
• Maintain relationships and resolve issues promptly.
