South Staffordshire College is seeking a dynamic Work Placement Coordinator/Assessor to join our Early Years team. The role focuses on sourcing placements, monitoring learner progress, and conducting assessments in line with curriculum requirements.
Applicants should hold an assessor qualification, have strong communication and organisational skills, and be able to work both collaboratively and independently. A full UK driving licence and access to a car are essential.
The successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check, including barred list information, as this post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to make a real impact on learners' development and progression. In this role, you will work with a diverse student population, sourcing and securing suitable work placements, monitoring learner progress, and carrying out assessments in line with curriculum requirements. You will also report progress to the curriculum team and ensure placements meet quality and safety standards.
The successful applicant will have strong communication and organisational skills, the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently and hold an assessor qualification.
Current occupational experience in an Early Years setting is essential, along with a full UK driving licence and access to a car.
Experience of supporting learners on T Levels is highly desirable, and experience in carrying out risk assessments would be an advantage.
