Work in Bermuda - Clinical Manager (Nurse) - Long term care services

Sanctuary Personnel is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Clinical Manager to join a forward-thinking healthcare team in Hamilton, Bermuda. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to long-term care services, emphasizing leadership, clinical excellence, and operational management.

Location: Hamilton, Bermuda

Salary: $(phone number removed) BMD per annum (approx. £92,700 GBP)

Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week (including all shifts)

About the Role:

Reporting to the Clinical Director, the Clinical Manager will oversee patient care administration within their unit. The role involves leading by example, managing service quality, staffing, budgets, and contributing to strategic improvements aligned with organisational goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Implement action plans to align departmental efforts with organisational strategic goals.
  2. Provide clinical leadership and support service development as guided by the Clinical Director.
  3. Maintain accountability for budget performance, including labour costs and financial oversight.
  4. Develop and implement performance improvement plans consistent with wider strategic objectives.
  5. Monitor operational and clinical indicators, addressing variances promptly.
  6. Review staffing records and adjust based on patient needs and acuity.
  7. Manage staff appraisals and support team development.
  8. Uphold standards of service excellence and role model best practices.
  9. Ensure compliance with clinical safety protocols, especially for patients with dementia and stroke.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Nursing from an accredited institution approved by the Bermuda Nursing Council.
  • Master’s in Nursing (MSN) or working towards it – preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ management experience in a supervisory or functional role.
  • Proven experience in delivering specialist care for patients with dementia and stroke.
  • NICHE certification or a commitment to complete it.
  • Current registration with the Bermuda Nursing Council.
  • Understanding of financial statements and budget management – preferred.
