Job summary

Bradford College is offering an Apprentice Work Experience Officer role within the Student Services department. This 18-month fixed-term apprenticeship focuses on enabling students to access and manage work experience with local employers, while the apprentice develops skills in coordinating placements and supporting learners.

The role requires GCSEs in Maths and English (level 2) and a willingness to complete the apprenticeship within an agreed timeframe, with opportunities to build industry

Qualifications

• Evidence of keyboard/word processing skills with good working knowledge of Word, Excel, and the use of the internet.
• GCSE 4-9 or equivalent level 2 qualification in Maths; English; willingness to complete an apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate commitment to professional growth by meeting all apprenticeship milestones and completing the apprenticeship programme to industry standards.
• Support students to plan, source and complete their work experience hours.
• Build and maintain relationships with local employers to secure quality work placements that align with students' career aspirations and course requirements.
• Coordinate placement logistics including start dates, working arrangements, supervision requirements, and health and safety protocols.
• Prepare students for work experience through pre-placement briefings, CV development, interview preparation and workplace readiness training.
