Job summary

Hopwood Hall is seeking a Work Based Assessor for a fixed-term post until July 2027. Based in Middleton, the role involves assessing and supporting learners on work placements, coordinating with employers, and ensuring quality standards are met.

The post requires an L3 work-based assessing qualification, an assessor qualification (D34/33/A1), and GCSEs at level 2 in Maths and English. Proactive CPD and use of VLEs are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum L3 qualification in work-based assessing.
• Assessor qualification (D34/33/A1).
• Maths and English Level 2/C/4.
• Experience of using VLE platforms for learning and assessment.

Responsibilities

• Assessment and monitoring progress of learners according to college and national standards.
• Plan and deliver placement visits/contacts to support learners and their progress.
• Monitor health, safety and safeguarding in work experience placements; maintain records.
• Liaise with employers to keep them informed and document progress.
• Participate in internal verification processes for work-based learning assessments.
