Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong previous woodworking experience in a workshop/manufacturing environment.
• Good practical knowledge of woodworking processes, tools and equipment.
• Ability to train and guide other team members; lead by example.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day running of the woodshop department.
• Help the team meet daily and weekly production targets.
• Organise work areas, materials and workloads to keep production flowing.
• Allocate team members across different work areas as needed.
• Prioritise work to align with production schedules and customer requirements.
• Support and train new starters within the department.
• Ensure finished work meets quality standards.
• Promote safe working practices and keep tidy workshop areas.
• Ensure machinery and equipment are used and maintained properly.
• Raise equipment or maintenance concerns when needed.
• Identify practical solutions to production or workflow issues.
• Support continuous improvement in quality, efficiency and organisation.
• Carry out weekly stock checks and communicate material needs.
• Support performance reviews and identify training needs
