Job summary

KM Recruitment is a specialist UK wide recruiter for the Skills and Employability Sectors. They are seeking a Wood Machinist Trainer to deliver training across the South West of England, field-based with overnight stays when needed.

The role requires solid Wood Machinist experience, IT literate, and the ability to deliver both theory and practical sessions to learners. A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel are essential. Salary is £27,000–£30,000, full-time permanent position.

Responsibilities

• Deliver training sessions to learners working on Wood Machinery courses.
• Teach at workplace or client training academy.
• Ensure sessions are engaging and develop learners’ skills, knowledge and behaviours.
• Maintain student records and evidence of performance.
• Provide guidance on decision making and progression.
• Adapt delivery to meet learner needs.

Job Title: Wood MachinistTrainer

Location: Field based– delivering training across the South West of England (Flexibility required – overnight stays provided when needed)

Salary: £27,000 – £30,000 (Depending on skills and experience)

Type: Full Time, Permanent

Essential Criteria:

• Must hold solid occupational experience as a Wood Machinist.
• Ideally have experience of CNC router operation and programming, though this is not essential.
• Confident and comfortable to deliver theory and practical based sessions to learners.
• Must be IT Literate.
• Experience of delivering on-the-job training to colleagues is highly desirable.
• Full, clean UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
• Must be flexible with travel, and overnight stays as required.

Duties include:

• Deliver training sessions to learners working towards Wood Machinery courses, in either their workplace or at our clients training academy.
• Ensure sessions are motivating, engaging and develop learners’ skills, knowledge and behaviours
• Maintain student records, and evidence of performance.
• Provide advice and guidance to learners relating to decision making and progression.
• Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.
