Job summary

KM Recruitment is seeking a Wood Machinist Trainer to deliver theory and practical training across the South West of England. The role is field-based with overnight stays when needed, and requires a full UK driving licence and reliable vehicle.

Qualifications

• Must hold solid occupational experience as a Wood Machinist.
• Ideally have experience of CNC router operation and programming.
• Confident and comfortable to deliver theory and practical based sessions to learners.
• Must be IT literate.
• Experience of delivering on-the-job training to colleagues is highly desirable.
• Full, clean UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
• Must be flexible with travel, and overnight stays as required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver training sessions to learners working towards Wood Machinery courses, in either their workplace or at our clients training academy.
• Ensure sessions are motivating, engaging and develop learners’ skills, knowledge and behaviours
• Maintain student records, and evidence of performance.
• Provide advice and guidance to learners relating to decision making and progression.
• Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.
