Job summary

TMJ Interiors in Bildeston, near Ipswich, seeks a Wood Machine Operative to join the workshop team. You will work on high-end joinery packages, using conventional machinery to cut and shape timber in line with technical drawings and specifications.

You will be required to programme machines to match joinery requirements while maintaining the machinery to ensure optimum performance and finish. Knowledge of tolerances and a strong HS awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-end joinery and ability to follow technical drawings.
• Proficiency with conventional timber cutting and shaping machinery.
• Strong H&S awareness and ability to prioritise workload.

Responsibilities

• Work on high-end joinery packages using conventional machinery to cut and shape timber as per drawings.
• Program machines to match joinery requirements and maintain machinery for optimum performance.
• Ensure high finish quality and tight tolerances in accordance with supplied information.

A leader within the UK construction market offering bespoke joinery solutions for Commercial, Residential and Specialist projects, we are currently looking to recruit a Wood Machine Operative to join our workshop team, based in Bildeston.

Our site supports various clients and projects across the UK. You will be involved in the construction of components, ensuring that the highest standards of finish and tolerances in accordance with information supplied, are achieved using the correct methods.

You will be responsible for working on high-end joinery packages. Utilising conventional machinery to cut and shape timber inline with technical drawings and specifications provided. You will be required to programme machines to match joinery requirements whilst maintaining the machinery to ensure optimum performance.
