Wood Machinist Position

We are seeking an experienced Wood Machinist familiar with joinery workshop machinery. This role requires minimal training, so only candidates with prior wood machining experience will be considered.

This is a permanent position offering competitive pay, with overtime at increased rates.

You will work in a large manufacturing company based in Ipswich, Suffolk, serving residential, commercial, restoration, and bespoke projects. The location is accessible via public transport.

The workweek is 45 hours, Monday to Friday. Overtime is paid at time and a half.

The ideal candidate should be familiar with machinery such as spindle moulders, routers, saws, band saws, drum sanders, etc., used in a joinery shop.

Candidate Requirements:

• NVQ or apprenticeship in Joinery or Carpentry
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Work experience in a woodwork environment
