Job summary

Cardiff Met Sport is seeking a Women’s Rugby Physiotherapist to develop and deliver medical services for the Women’s BUCS Super Rugby and WRU PDC. The role collaborates with the men’s rugby physio and the Performance Services team to ensure high-quality, compliant care.

You’ll bring a physiotherapy degree, HCPC registration, CSP membership, and rugby-specific experience, with a focus on building strong relationships with athletes and staff.

Qualifications

• Hold a degree in Physiotherapy.
• Be a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists and HCPC registered.
• Pitch side trauma qualification.
• Experience of working as a physiotherapist within a rugby environment.
• Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with athletes, staff and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer a robust physio provision for the Cardiff Met Women’s performance programme.
• Lead the delivery of a detailed physiotherapy provision for the Women’s performance Team and PDC, using the wider MDT and student workforce.
• Act as the primary medical liaison with coaching and pathway staff to understand and meet programme needs.
• Collaborate with the Head Coach, Head of Physiotherapy and Head of Performance Services to support CPD and service development.
