Job summary

Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking a Women’s Justice Service Project Worker to support women in the criminal justice system and guide them towards informed choices. The role is full-time, fixed-term until 31 March 2028, based primarily in Rotherham with cover in Barnsley as needed.

The post requires empathy, excellent interpersonal skills and experience of working with people with multiple needs to help women move forward positively.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with people with multiple needs.
• Ability to communicate with and support women in the criminal justice system.
• Demonstrates empathy, compassion and professional boundaries.
