Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking a Women’s Justice Service Project Worker to support women in the criminal justice system and guide them towards informed choices. The role is full-time, fixed-term until 31 March 2028, based primarily in Rotherham with cover in Barnsley as needed.

The post requires empathy, excellent interpersonal skills and experience of working with people with multiple needs to help women move forward positively.

Full time, fixed term until 31 st March 2028 based primarily in Rotherham and providing cover when required in Barnsley

The Women’s Justice Service provides support to women within the criminal justice system. The aim of the service is to support the women to understand what led to their involvement in the criminal justice system and to provide pathways to positively move forward.

We are seeking someone who will guide women through the complexities they face, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to make informed choices.

NJC – Scale 5
