Job summary

Waythrough Bolton is seeking a Criminal Justice Worker – Women’s Services to provide holistic assessments and tailored one-to-one support for women involved with, or at risk of involvement with, the criminal justice system. You will manage your own caseload and coordinate with health, housing and community partners to deliver coordinated care.

The role requires a foundation in health and social care, knowledge of relevant interventions, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent, or willingness to work towards.
  • Knowledge of criminal justice services, statutory orders and interventions.
  • Understanding of MI, PSIs, CBT and ITEP.
  • Understanding of issues and barriers affecting women and girls.
  • Experience working with carers and families.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build professional relationships.
  • Good IT, organization and record-keeping skills.
  • A relevant professional qualification in addiction studies, counselling, social work or therapeutic practice would be desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload, developing, implementing and reviewing individual recovery and care plans.
  • Provide tailored one-to-one support to women to help prevent and reduce offending.
  • Complete holistic needs and risk assessments and deliver appropriate interventions.
  • Support individuals to access appropriate treatment, recovery and wider support services.
  • Work closely with Police, Liaison & Diversion, HM Courts, Probation, HM Prisons, housing and community agencies.
  • Liaise with referring agencies regarding engagement, attendance and individual progress.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential case notes, risk assessments and care plans.
  • Work with families, mentors and volunteers to encourage advocacy, peer support and positive outcomes.
