Hawk Hiring is helping a respected independent garage in Wolverhampton hire a skilled Vehicle Technician. The role covers servicing, diagnostics, and major mechanical work across a multi-brand workshop, with a focus on right-first-time quality.

You will join a friendly team in a stable, well-run environment that values workmanship, safety, and efficiency. Salary ranges from £35,000 to £45,000 per year, plus a productivity bonus and standard holiday entitlement.

Qualifications

• Time-served mechanic with strong confidence handling heavy repair work and fault-finding.
• NVQ/IMI Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or solid time-served garage experience).
• Full UK Driving Licence required.

Responsibilities

• Tackle major mechanical tasks, including timing chains, cambelts, clutch kits, gearboxes, and engine repairs.
• Utilize multi-brand diagnostic equipment to pinpoint complex electrical and mechanical faults.
• Perform routine servicing, safety inspections, brake/suspension overhauls, and pre-MOT checks.
• Provide accurate repair notes on job cards and keep service desk staff updated on repair timelines.
• Maintain a safe, clean bay environment and work collaboratively with fellow technicians.
