Job summary

The Cornwall Bakery, part of Samworth Brothers, seeks a site operator for the Waste Management Centre in Callington. You will carry out a broad range of tasks to keep our lines running and ensure operations run smoothly.

You will monitor the effluent treatment plant, collect waste, and assist in loading/unloading while disposing of materials in line with our Environmental Policy. This role offers progression opportunities within the group.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a broad range of tasks in the daily operation of the Waste Management Centre
• Ensure that all trade effluent generated on the Callington site is treated to meet the standards set by South West Water
• Monitor the efficiency of the effluent treatment plant and waste management facilities and reporting to the Environmental Manager
• Collect waste materials generated by the Callington site
• Recycle, reprocess or suitably dispose of all waste materials in accordance with the Company Environmental Policy and current environmental legislation
• Assist in the loading, unloading of vehicles and movement of Materials around the site
