Job summary

MPI Limited in Milton Keynes is seeking a Wirer to join the Assemblies team on an ongoing contract. You will build assemblies and panels to customer designs and specifications.

The role requires wiring experience, reading electrical and mechanical schematics, and attention to quality while meeting build times.

You will work Monday to Friday, with PAYE or Umbrella pay options, and contribute to safety, documentation, and development of apprentices.

Qualifications

• Broad knowledge of wiring, fitting and sub-assembly best practise.
• Ability to work methodically and precise in a structured environment.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office systems.
• GCSE Maths and English or equivalent.
• Electrical Craft Apprenticeship is an advantage.
• Ability to provide practical solutions to engineering problems.

Responsibilities

MPI are looking for a Wirer for our client based in Milton Keynes

£16.36p/h PAYE or £21.81p/h Umbrella

Monday - Friday

Overview

Working in the Assemblies team, you will be building assemblies and panels to customer's design and specification.

The client is looking for someone with previous wiring experience to:

• Complete various LV assemblies as dictated by current orders.
• Complete various first off panel builds to customer specifications and drawings
• Work within the times set for builds but maintain a high-quality standard
• Able to read from and work with various types of electrical / mechanical schematics drawings
• Assist with the development of apprentices
• Maintain job packs and other associated paperwork with Job Packs
• Produce plotted and printed labels
• Work with other team members of staff including other departments to streamline manufacturing process to maintain efficiency
• Feed back to the Engineering Team during and on completion of any specific updates required for future repeat builds
• Take on additional tasks in order to meet departmental, project related or developmental objectives
• Observe Health & Safety policy and procedures
• Take charge of your personal development and contribute to the evaluation of performance in line with our clients core competencies and learning and development framework.

Requirements

• It is important that the job holder should have the persistence to see a job through to conclusion and the ability to work within a structured environment.
