Job summary

Kier Transportation in Yeovil is seeking Winter Maintenance Drivers to cover unsociable hours on a rota including weekends. You will drive gritter vehicles to spread salt and keep the UK roads moving during winter, reporting to the Maintenance team.

The role is a fixed-term zero-hour contract until April 2027 with flexible day/night/weekend shifts and weather dependant call-outs. Candidates must hold an LGV 2 licence, CPC and be willing to undertake training.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid LGV Class 2 licence.
• CPC accreditation and willing to undertake training.

Responsibilities

• Drive a gritter vehicle, covering unsociable hours.
• Fit a snow plough during adverse weather conditions.
• Maintain relevant driver and vehicle records.
