Job summary

Kier Transportation in Yeovil, Somerset, is seeking a Winter Maintenance Driver on a fixed-term zero-hour contract through April 2027. The role is based in Yeovil with flexible days/nights and weekend work.

You will drive a gritter during unsociable hours, fit a snow plough in adverse weather, and maintain driver/vehicle records. CPC and LGV2 licence required; training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Hold a current LGV class 2 licence (minimum).
• Have CPC accreditation and are willing to undertake role-specific training.
• Are open to bringing your transferrable skills to our team!

Contract: Fixed term zero hour contract until April 2027 - Flexible days/nights/weekends - Call out & weather dependent

Salary: £18.04 per hour (Monday to Saturday) and £23.52 per hour (Sunday and Bank Holidays) PLUS a weekly standby of £238.99

Your Responsibilities

What We're Looking For
