Job summary

Kier Transportation in Minehead is seeking Winter Maintenance Drivers to cover unsociable hours on a rota including weekends. Fixed-term, zero-hour contract to April 2027 with flexible days/nights/weekends and call-out depending on weather.

Fixed term zero hour contract to April 2027 - Flexible days / nights / weekends - Call out & weather dependant

Salary

£18.04 per hour Monday to Saturday and £23.52 per hour on Sunday and Bank Holidays PLUS weekly standby of £238.99

What will you be responsible for?

As a Winter Maintenance Driver, you'll be working within the Maintenance team, supporting them in key essential works, driving gritting vehicles to spread salt onto the roads during colder days and nights, keeping the UK's roads moving.

Your Day To Day Will Include

• Driving a gritter vehicle, covering unsociable hours
• Fitting a snow plough during adverse weather conditions
• Maintaining relevant driver and vehicle records

• You can drive and hold a current LGV class 2 licence as a minimum
• Have CPC accreditation and willing to undertake training associated with the role
