Job summary

Amey is recruiting a Winter Patrol Driver to support the Kinross site during the winter season. The role involves operating gritting vehicles, performing winter maintenance tasks, and ensuring safety and compliance across operations.

Based in Kinross, the position runs on a fixed-term 6-month contract from October to March, with induction included. Ideal candidates bring a valid HGV Class 2 licence, CPC, and prior winter maintenance experience to contribute to the team’s safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 Licence.
• Full Driver CPC qualification.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive and safety-conscious approach to work.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Previous winter maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate gritting vehicles and other specialist plant and equipment.
• Carry out winter maintenance activities, including gritting, inspections and minor highway maintenance works.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects accurately.
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with health and safety procedures.
• Record time, resources and operational activities using company systems.
• Attend team briefings and contribute to safe, efficient operations.
