Job summary

Amey in Kinross is recruiting a Winter Patrol Driver on a fixed-term contract from October to March. You will operate gritting vehicles and assist in essential highway maintenance to keep roads safe during winter conditions.

The role requires a valid HGV Class 2 licence, CPC and a proactive safety mindset, with strong teamwork and communication skills. Training is provided as part of the winter operations team in Kinross.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 Licence is essential.
• Full Driver CPC qualification required.
• Experience in winter maintenance is desirable.
• Good communication and safety awareness are essential.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate gritting vehicles and other specialist plant.
• Carry out winter maintenance activities including gritting and inspections.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects accurately.
• Ensure all work follows health and safety procedures.
• Record time, resources and activities using company systems.
• Attend team briefings and support safe, efficient operations.
• Work with colleagues, clients, emergency services and the public.
