Job summary

Amey Ltd in Glasgow is hiring Winter Patrol Drivers for a 6-month fixed-term contract from October to March, based at the M8 Account, Tannochside Depot. You will operate gritting vehicles and support essential highway maintenance to keep Scotland moving.

You will hold a valid HGV Class 2 licence and CPC, with a proactive safety mindset and good teamwork. Training is provided, with benefits and career development opportunities offered.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 Licence
• Full Driver CPC qualification
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Proactive and safety-conscious attitude
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Previous winter maintenance experience

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate gritting vehicles and other equipment
• Carry out winter maintenance incl. gritting and inspections
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects
• Ensure work complies with health and safety procedures
• Record time, resources and activities using company systems
• Attend team briefings and support safe operations
• Collaborate with colleagues, clients and emergency services
• Maintain records and complete paperwork
