Ringway (NH East) is seeking reliable Winter Casual HGV Drivers to support winter maintenance for National Highways in King's Lynn. You will operate gritting and snow-plough vehicles to keep the Strategic Road Network safe during severe winter weather.

The role is a zero-hours contract for the winter season, with rota-based shifts and on-call standby. A professional approach to safety and the ability to work in challenging conditions are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience driving LGV/HGV in a professional environment.
• Knowledge of winter maintenance operations and highways infrastructure.
• Familiarity with vehicle inspections and defect reporting.
• Experience in safety-critical environments and following operating standards.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, bank holidays, and respond to emergencies.
• Good knowledge of local and strategic road networks is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Operate gritting and snow-plough vehicles to treat the network during winter conditions.
• Work on a zero-hours contract with rota-based allocation and on-call standby.
• Respond to operational call-outs at short notice while maintaining safety standards.
