Job summary

COLAS ROADS UK in Worcestershire is seeking a Winter Maintenance Driver (Zero Hour) for the Area 9 contract. You will operate a Winter Maintenance Gritting Vehicle, stay on standby, and grit routes to keep the network safe during the winter season.

A full UK driving licence with HGV Class 2 and CPC are essential; Winter Maintenance qualification is desirable and training is provided. You must be able to reach Strensham or Coleshill depots at short notice.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full UK driving licence with HGV Class 2 entitlement and a valid CPC.
• A Winter Maintenance qualification is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Drive Winter Maintenance Gritting Vehicle during the winter season.
• Stay on standby and respond to callouts to grit on allocated routes.
• Keep accurate records of work and vehicle/ equipment care.
• Ensure activities minimise environmental impact and comply with legal and corporate requirements.
