Job summary

Colas Ltd is seeking Winter Maintenance Drivers (Zero hour) on Area 9 in the Midlands. Duties include driving a Winter Maintenance Gritting Vehicle and being on standby across the season. You must have a UK driving licence with HGV Class 2 and CPC; City and Guilds training may be arranged.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with HGV Class 2 entitlement and CPC essential.
• Winter Maintenance qualification desirable but training will be provided for suitable applicants.
• City and Guilds qualification will be arranged for mid-October 2023 and the contract may be extended accordingly.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Winter Maintenance Gritting Vehicle for the Area 9 winter season.
• Remain on standby and respond to callouts, with hours directed by the Duty Supervisor.
• Undertake gritting, vehicle/equipment washing, fuelling, and keep accurate records while ensuring environmental compliance.
