Job summary

Majestic Wine Group is hiring for a Sales Assistant in Giffnock to support store performance and deliver outstanding customer experiences. The role requires daily customer service excellence and driving sales through product knowledge and proactive outreach.

You will handle store operations, merchandising, and occasional driving duties to ensure smooth day-to-day running, including evenings and weekends. The position is permanent, 21 hours per week, with a salary listed as £13,879.32.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Wine knowledge is beneficial but passion to learn more is essential to pass level 2 WSET wine qualifications.
• Hold a full UK, manual transmission driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.

Responsibilities

• Drive store performance by maximising sales opportunities and support your team on targets.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to drive business growth and customer loyalty.
• Provide VIP concierge service to customers with updates on products and tastings.
• Sell the story not the discount and share your passion for products with customers.
• Take ownership of wine knowledge and support WSET qualification progress.
• Ensure the store looks maintained and compliant in all areas of operations.
• Assist with opening/closing procedures and daily store runs.
