Job summary

TECHNEST TALENT LTD in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Endpoint Engineer to manage and secure Windows endpoints across the enterprise. You will deploy and maintain apps, configure devices with Intune and AD, and work closely with Cyber Security.

The role requires automation via PowerShell, strong problem-solving, and collaboration with IT teams to ensure compliance, patching, and endpoint hardening.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing Windows endpoints in an enterprise environment.
• Solid knowledge of Intune, AD, GPO and patching.
• Proven ability to automate tasks with PowerShell.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Windows endpoint estate via Intune, GPO, and other management platforms.
• Support Windows Autopilot and modern device provisioning and deployment.
• Package, test, deploy, and maintain applications across the endpoint environment.
• Manage Windows updates, patching, and endpoint lifecycle activities.
• Develop endpoint configuration and security baselines.
• Support Defender for Endpoint configurations and vulnerability remediation.
• Monitor endpoint health, compliance, performance and security posture.
• Use PowerShell to automate endpoint administration, reporting and troubleshooting.
• Troubleshoot complex Windows, application and endpoint management issues and escalate as needed.
• Manage device compliance and integration with Entra ID and Conditional Access.
• Support endpoint encryption and protection technologies.
• Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Assist with endpoint projects, migrations and improvements with vendors.
• Identify opportunities to improve endpoint management through automation.
