Job summary

Rubix is seeking a skilled technician to support motor winding activities in our engineering workshop. The role involves winding training, LV/HV coil manufacture and rewinds to exact site specifications, with careful documentation of time and inspections.

You will also join the on-call rota and possible overtime, contributing to service levels and safe, efficient workshop operations across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Formal winding training or equivalent experience is required.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver work on time without quality lapses.
• Work must meet site specification standards with zero non-conformances.
• Complete tasks within allocated hours as tracked in the system.
• Maintain 5S cleanliness and organization in the work area.

Responsibilities

• Complete motor electrical static testing as required.
• Manufacture LV/HV coils to specification.
• Perform rewinds of LV/HV motors.
• Provide inspection, job records and timekeeping reports per policy.
• Support other functions including site work and workshop duties.
• Participate in on-call rota, shift work and overtime as needed.

About the Role:

• Work to Rubix UKII HSEQ policies and procedures.
• Complete all necessary motor electrical static testing.
• Complete the manufacture of LV/HV coils.
• Complete the rewind of LV/HV motors.
• Provide all necessary inspection, job record and timekeeping reports throughout the job process, in line with Rubix UKII policies and procedures.
• Support other job functions as requested by supervision, including site work and operating in other engineering workshops.
• Active participation in on call rota, shift working and overtime requests to ensure service levels are maintained.

Key Skills, Experience & Requirements:

• Completed formal winding training. E.g. Indentured apprenticeship, NVQ's, BTEC's or relevant experience etc.
• On time delivery of activity. Measured via the system.
• Completed work is to site specification Standards – Zero Non Conformance Recorded.
• Work completed within the specified time period. Measured via job hours allocated on the system.
• Work area compliance to 5S cleanliness standards.
