Job summary

BRUSH Group is seeking a coil winding operator to join its manufacturing team in the UK. You will read engineering drawings, build transformers coils, and ensure work is carried out safely and efficiently following the process requirements.

The role requires attention to detail, good communication, and a proactive attitude to learn and adapt. You will work as part of a team to deliver quality transformer products on time and maintain shop-floor standards.

Qualifications

  • GCSE passes in Maths and English or equivalent.
  • Engineering related apprenticeship would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and work to engineering drawings and specifications in line with SOPs.
  • Carry out inspections using calibration equipment as required.
  • Assemble and prepare units for testing.
  • Operate and control a coil winding machine.
  • Maintain 5S standards and housekeeping in winding shop area.
  • Ensure process and quality control plans are updated regularly.
  • Move materials and parts between areas.

What's the role?

To build different types of coil windings.Work as part of a team and closely to deliver quality transformer products on time and to manufacturing & design standards. Read engineering drawings, to build transformers, and to ensure that all work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner as per the process requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Understanding and working to engineering drawings and specifications, in line with Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Carrying out inspections using calibration equipment as required.
  • Assembling and preparing units for testing.
  • Operating and controlling a coil winding machine.
  • Maintaining 5S standards and other housekeeping activities of winding shop area.
  • Ensuring process and quality control plans are filled in regularly and kept up to date.
  • Movement of materials & parts between areas.

Qualifications
