Job summary

Uniper is seeking an influential Development Manager to lead the wind development portfolio across the UK. The role focuses on shaping partnerships, advancing greenfield wind projects, and driving commercial viability through all development milestones.

You will manage land, permitting, environmental assessments, and grid connection activities, coordinating with engineering, procurement, and asset teams to ensure a clear path to construction and operation.

Qualifications

• Experience in utility-scale renewable energy development (wind/ storage)
• Understanding of site origination, land rights, permitting, environmental assessments and grid connections
• Proven track record delivering projects through milestones to FID
• Familiarity with UK/Irish planning and regulatory frameworks
• Strong stakeholder management across internal and external partners

Responsibilities

• Lead development of utility-scale wind and BESS projects across UK/Ireland
• Manage full development lifecycle from origination to Final Investment Decision
• Handle land, permitting, environmental assessments, and grid connection
• Coordinate with external partners, consultants and internal teams
• Support due diligence and market/regulatory monitoring
