Job summary

ScottishPower Renewables is seeking a Field Supervisor for a designated portfolio of wind farm sites across Scotland. You will proactively manage local issues, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure safe, compliant operations under SPR rules and environmental standards.

Role involves wind turbine inspections, pre-commencement risk assessments, and collaboration with Area Supervisors to support budgets and procedures. Travel across the SPR portfolio is required.

Qualifications

• Educated to HNC/HND/City & Guilds level or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical discipline.
• Windfarm operational management experience.
• UK driving licence is essential.
• Working at height qualification required.
• Willingness to travel across SPR portfolio.
• Familiarity with SCADA systems and reports.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all site activities and safety risks are compliant with SPR Management Systems and OSHAS 45001.
• Carry out site inspections and issue weekly/monthly reports with closure plans.
• Manage sub-contractors to ensure safe, efficient site work and target outcomes.
• Perform pre-commencement assessments of tasks per Work Control Management Instruction.
• Conduct wind turbine inspections and local fault re-setting per Wind Turbine Safety Rules.
• Support Area Supervisor in budgeting and forecasting for allocated sites.
• Liaise with Landowners and emergency services as required.
• Provide 24hr call-out for site emergencies and coordinate responses.
