Job summary

Wildwood Trust offers an education-focused role in Kent, supporting the education department to deliver programmes, activities, events, and excellent customer service to visiting schools, groups and the public.

You will run the Junior Zookeeper programme, deliver workshops and tours to diverse audiences, and manage educational bookings with an emphasis on safeguarding and health & safety.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching a broad range of ages and audiences.
• Excellent communication and engagement skills.
• Administrative experience with IT and MS/Google suites.
• Strong written and spoken English.
• Experience with young children in school or similar settings.
• Ability to follow instructions and health and safety protocols.
• Genuine passion for British wildlife and Wildwood's mission.

Responsibilities

• Deliver education programme and develop new activities.
• Run and expand the Junior Zookeeper programme.
• Provide animal experiences to the public.
• Monitor education inbox and respond to enquiries.
• Ensure health and safety of visitors and staff.
• Deliver events, night tours, and public engagement.
• Demonstrate safeguarding practices.
• Coordinate Kent park events.
