ProTalent is partnering with a reputable Weybridge-based accountancy practice to recruit an Accounts Semi Senior. The role focuses on preparing financial statements, assisting with tax compliance, and delivering excellent client service within a collaborative team.

The ideal candidate will be AAT qualified or pursuing ACA/ACCA, with experience in an accountancy practice, solid UK GAAP knowledge, and proficiency in accounting software and MS Office.

Qualifications

• AAT qualified or in the process of pursuing ACA or ACCA qualification.
• Some experience (X+ years) in an accountancy practice.
• Basic understanding of UK GAAP and taxation.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing financial statements and management accounts.
• Gather financial information from clients and ensure accuracy.
• Support senior staff with VAT returns and corporation tax computations.
• Utilise accounting software to maintain client records and workflows.
• Collaborate with colleagues to meet client deadlines and deliver high-quality service.
• Identify process improvements and suggest solutions.
• Stay updated on accounting regulations and tax laws.
• Build relationships with clients and respond to inquiries promptly.
• Participate in team meetings to improve service delivery.
