Job summary

VanRath Search & Selection are assisting a large Public Sector Organisation in Portadown to recruit a Wet Room Installer for an initial 3‑month contract with extension potential. The role covers wet room installation across site premises, with focus on plumbing, tiling and finishing touches to a high standard.

Applicants need 2 years’ experience, a full driving licence (B1 and ideally C1 within 1 year) and relevant plant cards. A time served apprenticeship in joinery or plumbing is desirable.

Qualifications

• 2 years relevant experience in a similar role, providing general house maintenance services.
• Experience in plumbing/tiling/wetroom installation.
• Full current driving licence including B1; willing to achieve C1 within 1 year.
• Plant cards in relation to Mini Excavator and Dumper.
• Time served apprenticeship in joinery or plumbing.

Responsibilities

• Carry out wet room installations to specification in organisation stock/buildings.
• Remove existing bathroom suite, tiles and flooring; plaster walls as required.
• Alter pipework; install level access tray and drainage; lay non-slip flooring.
• Wall panelling or tiling; install shower, wash hand basin and toilet.
• Fit shower screens/doors; prep work for fan installation; decorate upon completion.

Salary: GBP27694 - GBP32597 per annum

Wet Room Installer (Public Sector)

VANRATHare assisting our client, a large Public Sector Organisation, in their search for aWet Room Installerfor 3 months initially with the possibility of extension. You will predominantly be based in theirPortadownsite.

Responsibilities

To carry all work for wet room installation tospecification inOrganisation stock / buildings including and not limited to:

• Removing existing bathroom suite, wall tiles and flooring.
• Plastering walls as required.
• Altering pipework and install level access tray and drainage.
• Levelling and laying new non-slip flooring including upstands and welds.
• Wall panelling or tiling.
• Installation of shower, wash hand basin and toilet.
• Fitting of shower screens and doors.
• Carrying out preparatory work for fan installation.
• Carrying out any alterations required to facilitate the wet room installation.
• Decorating the room on completion.

Requirements

Applicants must provide evidence, by the closing date for application, that they meet the following essential criteria:

• 2 years relevant experience in a similar role, providing a range of general house maintenance services (Internal and External).
• Experience in plumbing/tiling/wetroom installation (does not have to have completed a time served apprenticeship)
• A full current driving licence which includes B1 to enable the post holder to carry out the required duties of this post
• A full current driving licence which includes C1 category or willing to achieve within 1 year.
• Have current plant cards in relation to Mini Excavator, Dumper.
• Completed a time served apprenticeship in joinery or plumbing.

Remuneration

£27,694 - £32,597

• plus Van & Fuel Card.
